Men’s basketball falls to Whitworth

The men’s basketball team lost to Whitworth 97-87 on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Senior Chris Faidley and Junior Jordan Wheeler led Whitman (9-15, 5-10 NWC) with 23 points a piece, but it wasn’t enough to hold off Whitworth, which swept the season series. The Missionaries host Lewis & Clark College on Friday, Feb. 20 at 8pm, marking the end of Faidley’s Whitman career. Faidley leads the NWC in scoring at 20.7 ppg and is second on Whitman’s all-time scoring list.
