Puget Sound advances to NCAA sweet sixteen

The No. 7 Puget Sound men’s basketball team advanced to the NCAA Divison III sweet sixteen after beating conference foe Whitworth 84-72. Whitworth upset Puget Sound, 90-80 in overtime, in the Northwest Conference tournament after the Loggers swept through the conference regular season undefeated.

Next up for Puget Sound will be the University of St. Thomas out of Minnesota. The two teams will face off Friday, March 13 at 4 p.m.
